Stress Management ProgramME

The Stress Management Programme allows employers easy access to exercise and training facilities to help manage their employees workplace stress.

Physical Inactivity costs NZ Economy $2.3 Billion a year

ExerciseNZ initiated research by Deloitte, in conjunction with other international exercise associations.

Here are the key findings of the research:

​

  • Lost production caused by physical inactivity costs the NZ economy $2.3 billion a year.

  • This in return costs the New Zealand health system $530 million a year.

  • 40% of Kiwi adults do not hit global activity targets.

  • For our children and teenagers - an alarming 93% are not active enough.

  • If the Government made a once-in-a-lifetime investment of $2500 per inactive person to get them active, it would be made back in less than 12 months.

  • Over 30 years, that $2500 investment would benefit the Government by $12,500 per person in healthcare savings.
